A few weeks ago, Jaydin woke up in the middle of the night screaming. She'd had a nightmare and the only thing I could get out of her is that her favorite skirt got caught in the vacuum and I needed to get it out. I reassured her that it was just a dream and her skirt was not, in fact, stuck in the vacuum. She eventually calmed down and went back to sleep, but every once in a while she still talks about it and she does not like it when I vacuum now.

Flash forward to this evening while we were saying bedtime prayers. Usually I'll say something and she'll repeat it and once in a while she'll ad-lib a little. This is how it went tonight.

Me: Thank you for our blessings.
Jaydin: Thanks for blessings. And bless the vacuum won't get my skirt stuck.
Me: Please bless that we can sleep good.
Jaydin: Bless we can sleep good. And bless we can play dolls tomorrow.

By this point Brady and I were both giggling but we were able to finish the prayer. I love hearing the things kids pray for. I'm sure the Lord gets a kick out of it too.
